    Portsmouth area
Glorious spring sunshine accompanied my recent visit to Portsmouth. Included here are scenes at Havant and Hilsea, two locations that I have not previously photographed.

A variety of 377s, 444s and 450s plus a couple of FGW 158s on the Cardiff- Portsmouth route are depicted.

    Birmingham & the West Midlands
I've had two trips to Birmingham within the space of a month this year. The first was to Aston on 14th February 2009. Unfortunately the weather was not kind and in fading light I've put together a selection of the better shots.

The second trip on 7th March was to experience the Wrexham & Shropshire service from London Marylebone and includes shots at Tame Bridge Parkway plus a few of Curzon Street in central Birmingham.
    11th Oct 2008Holyhead & Bangor
This collection features photos I took at both Holyhead and Bangor, showing a variety of rolling stock and operators plus 67001 and 67003, which hauled the charter I was on to and from Holyhead.
    11th Oct 2008Milton Keynes Central
Milton Keynes Central has recently seen rebranding with replacement of the obsolete Silverlink signage with new London Midland type. These look quite attractive and importanly are easy to read being in a clear, legible font.

Whilst waiting for the Holyhead Railtour and on the return, I took this collection of photos around Milton Keynes Central, showing various aspects of the new signage and Platform 5.
    4th Oct 2008Didcot Parkway
On my way to Swindon and Steam - The Museum of the Great Western Railway, I made a brief stop at Didcot Parkway. The nearby railway centre was having a 'Thomas' event and as always my time and Didcot was accompanied by a bitingly cold wind and variable weather!

In this collection, some FGW 165s, HSTs and a pair of EWS 66s and an 08.
